ISLAMABAD—Pakistan Federal Union of Journalist (PFUJ) has condoled the demise of senior Journalist Rahimullah Yousufzai who passed away in Peshawar on Thursday after a prolonged illness.                      

In a condolence statement PFUJ President Shahzada Zulfiqar and Secretary-General Nasir Zaidi expressed shock over the untimely death of Rahimullah. They said that he was an iconic figure in journalism and promoter of unity among the journalists’ community.                  

They said that Rahimullah earned name because of his balanced and in-depth knowledge of his area of specialization particularly Afghanistan and extremism in the region. “His services for journalism and journalists’ community will be remembered for all times to come.”
